Last Monday we had the Annual Washington City Lighting of the city's Christmas Tree. It was a lot of fun, and short which made Scott happy. They had the children's choir sing, the children decorate their bikes and scooters Christmas style (which my kids refuse to do), Santa Claus came, and the best part FREE hot chocolate and cookies. The city park was only a block away from my house, so I made my family go..including my sister in law and brother in law. The park looks beautiful now, and everytime I drive past it, it makes me more in the Christmas spirit.

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving dinner at my house this year, and it was a lot of fun. We had about 15 people over, and I am still suprised we are able to fit so many people in the house. We ate way too much and ended the dinner with dessert that Scott's mom makes..Pavlova. We played games and talked. That morning Scott and I went to Walmart for black friday, and we finished some Christmas shopping. The next day Scott's other sister and her five kids came down from Salt Lake. The whole family went to Pirate Island Pizza and we met later to meet Santa. Sean is thinking he is too old to sit on Santa's lap (tear) and Carson was a little unsure about the big guy.

It's a Pirates Life for Me!

St. George City just opened up a really cool restruant called Pirate Island. After the Murder Mystery party we recieved a gift certificate for guessing the right murderer. My family went with our good friends Billy and Bobbi Kirschner and their boys. The restraunt is kind of like the Myan, but Pirate theme instead. It's a sit down restraunt with a kid play area and a big arcade area as well. It is a perfect restraunt for families. We already went there twice last week, and we can't wait to go again.

A'hoy Mateys!!

Scott and I just went to the second annual Muder Mystery Night. Our good friends of ours had hosted the Mystery night, and they always do a great job. This years theme was the Pirate theme. We recieved our invitations on who our character was and who our enemies are, through out the party we recieve clues on who the murderer is. I can't remember my character's name, but I was a Pirate's Widow, I was suppose to be in mourning. My job for the night was to find out who was behind the murder of my husband. There were about 40 people who showed up and everyone were dressed up. The first two pictures are of some friends of ours who always do a great job with their parts. The next two pictures are of us standing around because someone just died and we were listening to why they just got murdered, and what the clues are. The last picuture of of my brother in law Doug, Sister in law Hazel, Scott and myself. The food was excellent, and we are already looking forward to next years Murder Mystery Party.

I am Thankful for my family...

I just wanted to blog what I am Thankful for before I get to busy. We are having a fun Thanksgiving at my house with about 18 people...so I am trying to repaint the house, get the kitchen ready and the food prepared. Then on Friday Emily and her family are coming. I am so excited.
I am Thankful for my family. My children are the most sweetest, fun loving kind hearted children ever. Of course they have their ups and downs, but we always have fun together. I am also Thankful for my husband. I am so glad he has the preisthood, and I think because of that we feel the spirit in our home. He is always the one putting me on the straight and narrow path. The first picture is of the family when we go out to eat late at night. Yep that is what we look like all the time. Carson is always crying, Sean and Carly are always making some kind of weird faces at me when I talk, and Scott...well I don't know what he is doing. The second picture is of my wonderful husband. And finally the last picture has been on my mind for the last couple of days. I still remember how perfect the day was. It was Christmas Eve and Carson was only two days old. My family and Scott 's family were all (well some of Scott's family) there. My parents were even talking nicely to each other. haha...the best part is we had Santa Claus come and had a suprise visit with the kids. He even brought a big red bag full of presents for the kids, Scott and I. (From Scott's old work, they spoiled us.) You can see how excited Sean was.

Blogging Blah Blah Blah

Well, I have been meaning to put my blog on private, but then I saw how much work it is and I don't understand how to put everyone on private..I am slow. I figured when Emily comes down and have a sleep over with me she can show me how to do it. Yay only one more week. In the mean time I guess I will have creepy comments. haha. Nothing too exciting has been happening at all. Halloween was fun, but Carson refused to dress up and went as a HomoSapien for Halloween. Sean insisted that he was a guy from a video game (I have no clue) and Carly was an Army diva. I didn't get many pictures because it seems like the day went by way to fast. All in all business is going well, my office is now in my living room. The people we were going to buy the business from vanished, and I guess they didn't want all of their debts paid off. The only exciting thing that is going on is that we are in a construction nightmare in our neighborhood. They have decided to redo all of the water pipes..(which is good because in the summer time the water tasted like dirt.) On top of that my house was the lucky one chosen to have an ugly fire hydrant in my front yard. The first couple pictures are of Sean, Carly and Carson on Halloween. Scott and I are totally lame parents and we went out to dinner instead of cooking dinner on Halloween. The first picture is of Carson at the parade in his "Halloween Costume..we just wasted 20.00 on a Spiderman Costume. The second one was Sean and Carly at Pancho's and Lefty's (our favorite restruant ever), in their halloween costume. Hopefully I will remember to take lots of pictures on Thanksgiving. We get to have all of the festivities at my house this year... Sorry I am in a really crappy mood....

I guess that is my sign that I will have to go private. Please who ever wants to have an invite please let me know so I can invite you to my blog.

Carly's Baptized!!

Carly is officially baptized!! She turned 8 April 14, and was suppose to be baptized in May. Unfortunately we live four hours away from our families, so it was hard getting everyone together. We finally decided that Carly and her cousin Nathan should get baptized together. Last weekend we went up to Salt Lake, and on Saturday Carly offically became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Bountiful Utah. Carly and Nate were the only ones baptized out of their whole stake, so we got to do our own intimate program. My sister-in-law Meredith and myself were able to do a spotlight on our guest of honors. Afterwards my other sister-in-law Jody and Meredith's sister did a talk on Baptism and the Holy Ghost. All of the cousins went up and sang the Baptism song, and I thought it was so cute watching a bunch of 11 year boys mumble the song. After the program Carly and Nate both got baptized and then confirmed. The blessings were beautiful, and we could really feel the spirit there. After the baptism we went back to Derek's and Meredith's house for really yummy food, and of course what is a family get together with out Karoke? Scott and I has the best family in the world! We are so lucky that everyone took the time to come out and spend Carly's special day with her.

The Happiest Place on Earth

We have just returned from the Happiest Place on Earth last week. Scott and I decided at the last minute we would surprise the kids with a quick trip to Disneyland. We found a hotel right across the street from the park. We left our house at two in the morning (only because we are way too cheap to spend the extra money for a night in the hotel), and arrived at Disneyland at 8:00 in the morning. We had enough time to get dressed in the van, and had breakfast at Denny's. I now know what it is like to be homeless because Carly and I had to finish getting ready in the Denny's bathroom. We arrived at the park at 9:30 and went right in to the park. We only waited 15 minutes for each ride and had a blast. We went to Disneyland and California Adventures Thursday and Friday. Then Saturday we met my beautiful sister-in-law and awesome brother-in-law at Seal Beach. We did some shopping and ate lunch then we all went and played at the beach. My brother-in-law Brian taught my kids how to boogie board and they did great! After a few hours of playing we said goodbye to Jen and Brian, and took the scenic route to San Diego where my other wonderful Brother-in-law and sister-in-law lives. We arrived at their house in time for dinner and went to Chuck-E-Cheeses. The next day we toured San Diego and rode a train and ate at the Burger Factory. Afterwards we went back to their condo and went swimming. When the kids were tired of swimming we cleaned up and went to dinner at Chipote's. Then we took a nice long relaxing walk on the Pacific Beach. The next day we went home and back to work. We all had a great time, and can't wait to go back again soon..I hope.

Boy Scout Camp

Last night Sean went on his first outing to BOYSCOUT camp. It was so much fun getting him ready and packed for his first overnight with a bunch of boys. It reminded me of my mom getting me ready for girls camp. All of the shopping and preparing. He came home and said he had a lot of fun. He went canoeing, fishing, swimming and of course stayed up late around the camp fire. I am glad he had a chance to go and play.

I put in a few other pictures of our last few weeks in as well. The first picture is of Carson crying because he wanted to watch Spider Man. The second picture is Sean coming home from Boy Scout camp. The third picture is we finally went to his last pack meeting so he can receive his Webloes and go on to Boy Scouts. On the fourth picture I went downstairs to check on Carson and this how I found him, fast asleep with his hand in a bag of chips. The next picture is of Sean and Carson falling alseep together watching T.V. The last picture is of the three kids getting ready go to to Chuck-E-Cheeses at my parents house. That is what has been going on in our house during the last few weeks. Nothing to exciting, but a lot of fun.

Breaking Dawn

I finally finished Breaking Dawn after one long month. I did not like it at all. I thought it was the lamest book ever!! I think I was expecting Bella having an affair on Edward, and Edward finding out. Actually the book would have been better if the baby was Jacobs, but I thought there was no action, no drama, NOTHING!! In fact, after the Volturi scene and everybody "walks away" I refuse to finish the end. I also thought the part of Jacob's "imprintment" on Renesmee (hate the name by the way) was gross. (Actually that was the only interesting part in the book). The sex scenes were very disturbing, and I wish I could get the images out of my head. I also thought there was way to much talking and not enough action. I mean how many times do they all have to go hunt? It seems like that was most of the book. I wish I could take back the three hours of my life when I stood in line for this lame book. If any of you have a different opinion please share.

Sean's Birthday

I am still playing catch up all in a day. Sean turned 11 in July! I can't believe how fast time has gone. He is now in 6th grade and in middle school. I still remember when I had him and how little he was, now he is almost bigger than me. We took Sean and his friends to Laser Mania with two hours of unlimited Lazer Tag, Lazer Golf and arcade games. The last picture shows Sean's birthday invitations that he sent out to his friends. As EVERYONE knows I am not creative at all. So, thanks to my mom and Michelle being at my house when we were making the invites it was their idea. We wrapped up king size hershey's chocolate bars in paper and tied ribbon around it with a note. I was very proud of myself that I didn't screw up on the invites. The last picture is Carly and my very cute niece Leerah. I just wanted to show her off.

P.S. Don't pay attention to my messy counter in the background. We were in a middle of a barbque.
