Carly's Baptized!!

Carly is officially baptized!! She turned 8 April 14, and was suppose to be baptized in May. Unfortunately we live four hours away from our families, so it was hard getting everyone together. We finally decided that Carly and her cousin Nathan should get baptized together. Last weekend we went up to Salt Lake, and on Saturday Carly offically became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Bountiful Utah. Carly and Nate were the only ones baptized out of their whole stake, so we got to do our own intimate program. My sister-in-law Meredith and myself were able to do a spotlight on our guest of honors. Afterwards my other sister-in-law Jody and Meredith's sister did a talk on Baptism and the Holy Ghost. All of the cousins went up and sang the Baptism song, and I thought it was so cute watching a bunch of 11 year boys mumble the song. After the program Carly and Nate both got baptized and then confirmed. The blessings were beautiful, and we could really feel the spirit there. After the baptism we went back to Derek's and Meredith's house for really yummy food, and of course what is a family get together with out Karoke? Scott and I has the best family in the world! We are so lucky that everyone took the time to come out and spend Carly's special day with her.

The Happiest Place on Earth

We have just returned from the Happiest Place on Earth last week. Scott and I decided at the last minute we would surprise the kids with a quick trip to Disneyland. We found a hotel right across the street from the park. We left our house at two in the morning (only because we are way too cheap to spend the extra money for a night in the hotel), and arrived at Disneyland at 8:00 in the morning. We had enough time to get dressed in the van, and had breakfast at Denny's. I now know what it is like to be homeless because Carly and I had to finish getting ready in the Denny's bathroom. We arrived at the park at 9:30 and went right in to the park. We only waited 15 minutes for each ride and had a blast. We went to Disneyland and California Adventures Thursday and Friday. Then Saturday we met my beautiful sister-in-law and awesome brother-in-law at Seal Beach. We did some shopping and ate lunch then we all went and played at the beach. My brother-in-law Brian taught my kids how to boogie board and they did great! After a few hours of playing we said goodbye to Jen and Brian, and took the scenic route to San Diego where my other wonderful Brother-in-law and sister-in-law lives. We arrived at their house in time for dinner and went to Chuck-E-Cheeses. The next day we toured San Diego and rode a train and ate at the Burger Factory. Afterwards we went back to their condo and went swimming. When the kids were tired of swimming we cleaned up and went to dinner at Chipote's. Then we took a nice long relaxing walk on the Pacific Beach. The next day we went home and back to work. We all had a great time, and can't wait to go back again soon..I hope.

Boy Scout Camp

Last night Sean went on his first outing to BOYSCOUT camp. It was so much fun getting him ready and packed for his first overnight with a bunch of boys. It reminded me of my mom getting me ready for girls camp. All of the shopping and preparing. He came home and said he had a lot of fun. He went canoeing, fishing, swimming and of course stayed up late around the camp fire. I am glad he had a chance to go and play.

I put in a few other pictures of our last few weeks in as well. The first picture is of Carson crying because he wanted to watch Spider Man. The second picture is Sean coming home from Boy Scout camp. The third picture is we finally went to his last pack meeting so he can receive his Webloes and go on to Boy Scouts. On the fourth picture I went downstairs to check on Carson and this how I found him, fast asleep with his hand in a bag of chips. The next picture is of Sean and Carson falling alseep together watching T.V. The last picture is of the three kids getting ready go to to Chuck-E-Cheeses at my parents house. That is what has been going on in our house during the last few weeks. Nothing to exciting, but a lot of fun.

Breaking Dawn

I finally finished Breaking Dawn after one long month. I did not like it at all. I thought it was the lamest book ever!! I think I was expecting Bella having an affair on Edward, and Edward finding out. Actually the book would have been better if the baby was Jacobs, but I thought there was no action, no drama, NOTHING!! In fact, after the Volturi scene and everybody "walks away" I refuse to finish the end. I also thought the part of Jacob's "imprintment" on Renesmee (hate the name by the way) was gross. (Actually that was the only interesting part in the book). The sex scenes were very disturbing, and I wish I could get the images out of my head. I also thought there was way to much talking and not enough action. I mean how many times do they all have to go hunt? It seems like that was most of the book. I wish I could take back the three hours of my life when I stood in line for this lame book. If any of you have a different opinion please share.

Sean's Birthday

I am still playing catch up all in a day. Sean turned 11 in July! I can't believe how fast time has gone. He is now in 6th grade and in middle school. I still remember when I had him and how little he was, now he is almost bigger than me. We took Sean and his friends to Laser Mania with two hours of unlimited Lazer Tag, Lazer Golf and arcade games. The last picture shows Sean's birthday invitations that he sent out to his friends. As EVERYONE knows I am not creative at all. So, thanks to my mom and Michelle being at my house when we were making the invites it was their idea. We wrapped up king size hershey's chocolate bars in paper and tied ribbon around it with a note. I was very proud of myself that I didn't screw up on the invites. The last picture is Carly and my very cute niece Leerah. I just wanted to show her off.

P.S. Don't pay attention to my messy counter in the background. We were in a middle of a barbque.

Lagoon

I can't believe summer is over already, it seems like it had just begun. School started last week, unfortunately when I was trying to take a picture my battery died on me. I will have to take pictures of the kids and call it their first day of school. They'll never know right?

So now I get to play catch up with the rest of my summer. In June we took the kids to Lagoon, and we went with our really good friends Billy and Bobbi Kirschner and their three children. They have never been to Salt Lake before, so we took them to Lagoon, Seven Peaks and the Mayan. I am still exhausted from that trip. We had a lot of fun, and can't wait to go to Salt Lake with them again. I am still trying to figure out how to put the pictures where I want them.
